Common Carrier Rooftop Unit Problems
Carrier rooftop units sit on thousands of GTA plazas and office buildings. The calls we see most on Carrier WeatherMaker and Carrier 50TC units are failed condenser and indoor fan motors, economizer faults, short cycling from controls or charge problems, and, when units reach end of life, legacy footprints that no new unit fits without a curb adapter.
A fan motor that fails once is a repair. A fan motor that fails every summer has a cause: a weak capacitor, voltage imbalance, a dirty coil or water intrusion. We fix the cause along with the part.
Carrier Models We Sell and Service
Carrier WeatherMaker
One of the most common packaged commercial lines in Canada. Newer WeatherMaker units use the direct-drive EcoBlue fan, which drops belts and pulleys and needs controls know-how to diagnose.
Carrier 50TC
A widely used packaged unit in the 3-12.5 ton range. We often install 50TC units as replacements on legacy Carrier curbs, with adapters from our shop.
Carrier AquaForce chillers
Our CRE-ticketed crew services Carrier AquaForce air-cooled chillers. See commercial chiller service.
Carrier Replacement on Legacy Curbs
Carrier footprints have changed over the decades. Rather than cutting a new roof opening, we fabricate a curb adapter to fit the new unit onto the existing curb and re-flash it, usually as a one-day swap per unit. See commercial rooftop unit replacement.

Why Use an Authorized Carrier Dealer?
OEM parts on the van mean fewer return trips, warranty claims are filed correctly, and replacements are sized and selected from current Carrier models. We cover Carrier plazas in Oakville, Etobicoke, Markham and across the GTA. We also service Lennox, York, Trane and Daikin commercial rooftop units across Toronto, so a mixed roof needs one contractor.
