The city sits inside our 2-4 hour GTA core response. Crews reach the Airport Corporate Centre and Airport Rd corridor from Highway 427 and the 401, Meadowvale from the 401 and Mavis, and the City Centre around Square One from the 403. The 401 / 403 / 410 interchange is the choke point at rush hour, so scheduled work is booked outside the 7-9am and 4-6pm windows whenever we can.
Industrial parks near Toronto Pearson have flat roofs with good crane access from parking lots, which keeps crane days shorter and cheaper than downtown. The catch is the airport: sites inside Pearson's obstacle assessment area need land use approval from Pearson and NAV CANADA before a crane permit is issued, and that review can take 12 weeks or more. A crane on a municipal road also needs a road occupancy permit. We check both at quote stage.
For multi-unit programs we phase lifts across consecutive days or weekends so the park keeps running. On Airport Rd, 14 units were swapped in 11 days without shutting the park down.
